What a fabulous night at YHC! We were thrilled to welcome 13 talented guests who joined us for our Annual Open House. The evening was packed with activities—they participated in warm-ups, watched some of our performances, got voice-placed, and even observed a visual rehearsal session in action! A huge thank you to our incredible Membership team for all their hard work in getting the word out and making the night such a success. We hope to see all our guests back next week to continue the fun and harmony! |

This year’s Directors and Visual Leaders Seminar in Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA) brought chorus directors and leaders from all over the barbershop world to teach and learn from each other in the town where Sweet Adelines International began. York Harmony Chorus Invites Vocalists to Open Audition Night NEWMARKET, ON (April 13, 2024) – York Harmony Chorus, an award winning a cappella group based in York Region, is thrilled to announce an open audition night on May 13th, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This event offers talented vocalists the opportunity to showcase their skills and become part of an esteemed ensemble dedicated to musical excellence. The audition will take place at the Sharon-Hope United Church, located at 18648 Leslie Street in Sharon, Ontario, where prospective members will have the chance to perform a one-minute a cappella piece (no musical accompaniment permitted), allowing vocalists to demonstrate their pure vocal talent and musicality. York Harmony Chorus welcomes singers of all experience levels and backgrounds to audition. Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to the stage, this audition night is the perfect opportunity to join a vibrant community of passionate vocalists dedicated to sharing and promoting the art of a cappella, barbershop harmony. "We are excited to open our doors to aspiring singers and offer them the chance to be part of our chorus," said Martha DeClerq, Master Director of York Harmony Chorus.
